Saragh has over 30 years’ experience in both nursing and education. Her passion lies in the Early Years, having worked in Early Intervention and a Special Preschool supporting children with Special Educational Need, SEN, to reach their full potential.
Previously Saragh worked with adults with an Intellectual Disability and was one of the team to open the Service’s first Community house in the mid 1990’s, supporting clients to access their community. An excellent communicator experienced in training and mentoring of others to provide customer focused, high quality, evidenced based services within the Educare field. Highly organised and competent in computer skills.
Saragh trained as a General Nurse and the then as a Registered Nurse Intellectual Disability where her passion and interest lies. Having worked with adults in the early stages of her career she moved to an Early
Intervention team and supported young children and their families. Saragh became interested in Montessori
Education and its application in Special Education and studied with St Nicholas Montessori Ireland, SMSI while leading a reception preschool class. Saragh now shares her experience and passion of how Montessori philosophy supports all learners. Saragh has acted as Year Head for all stages of the BA programme and currently is Year Head for full- time and part time Year two students in Dublin.
As Year Head, Saragh is responsible for programme timetabling delivery for the full-time and part time courses in Dublin and acts as first point of contact for learners. Saragh provides additional instruction, guidance and information to students in person or via email / phone as required.
Teaching practice is an integral part of our programme and Saragh enjoys scheduling, mentoring and conducting large numbers of supervisory teaching practice sessions with our students while they are on their work placement assignments and providing them with balanced and constructive feedback giving guidance and direction.
